You always have the power of choice. You are not a victim. You are powerful. You get to choose how to live your life, with whom you live your life and what you are going to allow in your life.
Yes, we don’t always have control on circumstances, situations, occurrences, and choices of others, but we always, always, always have power somewhere. Our power is finding it and choosing it.
We, You get to choose how you are going to react or respond to anyone and anything that comes your way. There are multiple ways we can exercise our choices in life.

One of the most powerful stories I heard about choices was from Corrie Ten Boom, while she was living in the Nazi concentration camps. There was a huge outbreak of fleas in the women’s bunkhouses and complaints and discomfort along with the pain, agony and sorrow of being prisoners was making life beyond the unbearable it already was. Corrie shifted the perspective for these women with a choice they had the power to make. Choose to see the fleas with gratitude, because they were keeping the guards away from coming in and violating and raping them.
This story comes to me on those occasions I feel helpless or hopeless in whatever I may be facing. I recognize, no matter what my circumstances or situation in life, there is always a choice to be made.
You are a powerful person, you have choices in life. For yourself. To choose an attitude to bring peace or gratitude. To choose hope and grace.
In all this, it’s true, sometimes life throws us a harsh reality, an experience that breaks our hearts, causes us grief and sorrow.
But know, from one who understands:
“Pain is inevitable. Suffering is a choice”.
When you recognize and give authority to yourself to choose how you want to feel, experience and view things, you have entered into your divine power. You are not a victim to your circumstances, you have everything you need within you to change and choose.
